Americanism

Flags-of-Freedom-2014-1000Promoting pride in the country, respect for the flag, and appreciation of our freedoms are the primary purposes of Exchange’s Americanism programs. These time-tested activities afford every Exchange Club the opportunity to create greater community awareness of the privileges of American citizenship, and all clubs are urged to actively participate in them.

Committee Chair: Lindsay Kilburn

Child Abuse Prevention Committee

Since Child Abuse Prevention is one of the main focuses of the club, all members of the club are also members of the Child Abuse Prevention Committee.
Stephanie Isaacs serves as the liaison to the Carl Perkins/Exchange Club Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and also serves as the Child Abuse Prevention Committee Chair

Committee Chair: Madelyn Hefner

Community Service Committee

All the activities that make up the Program of Service have a common goal of serving and benefiting our communities. Why then a separate category called Community Service? Because the programs listed under Child Abuse Prevention, Youth, and Americanism focus on specific areas within the community, other Community Service projects are broader in scope and are designed to benefit every community member. These projects include crime prevention, fire prevention, the Jackson Man of the Year, and service to seniors.

Committee Chair: Steve Sopcak

Jackson’s Man of the Year

The Jackson Exchange Club hosts the annual Jackson Man of the Year Dinner & Banquet.  It should be noted that this is NOT the Jackson Exchange Club Man of the Year, but Jackson’s Man of the Year.  Recipients are selected by a committee comprised of members of various civic clubs.  The Exchange Club just plans and hosts the event.
