Americanism

The Exchange Club’s Americanism programs are dedicated to promoting national pride, honoring the flag, and fostering appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. These enduring initiatives provide each Exchange Club with opportunities to enhance community awareness of the responsibilities and privileges of citizenship. All clubs are encouraged to actively participate in these meaningful efforts.

Child Abuse Prevention Committee

Child abuse prevention is a central mission of the Exchange Club. As such, every club member is considered a member of this vital committee.  Madelyn Hefner serves as both the club’s liaison to the Carl Perkins/Exchange Club Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and as the Committee Chair.

Community Service Committee

While all Program of Service activities aim to improve communities, the Community Service category addresses broader needs that impact everyone. This includes projects such as crime prevention, fire safety initiatives, the Jackson Man of the Year event, and services for seniors.

Fundraising

This committee is responsible for planning and executing all fundraising initiatives, including several major events including Flags of Freedom. Additionally, club members provide key volunteer support to the Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center’s fundraising efforts, such as the Blue Suede Dinner & Auction and the Circles of Hope Telethon.

Hal Meredith Scholarship Fund

The Hal Meredith Scholarship Fund awards annual scholarships, ranging from $1,000 to $2,000, to local college-bound students, supporting the pursuit of higher education in our community.

Public Relations

Spreading awareness of the Exchange Club’s mission and accomplishments is the goal of the Public Relations Committee. From press releases to media outreach, this team ensures our work reaches the community.

Scrapbook

The club scrapbook serves as a creative chronicle of our annual activities. It is showcased at the District Convention and often recognized with top honors. After the convention, it is presented to the outgoing club President as a keepsake.

A strong club is a connected club—and this committee brings the fun!  From the annual Christmas party to the Jackson Man of the Year banquet, these members plan memorable social gatherings that keep the club energized and engaged.

Our nation’s youth represent its future. That’s why the Exchange Club supports a range of impactful programs and activities designed to recognize, support, and develop young people in our community.

Jackson’s Man of the Year Committee

Each year, the Jackson Exchange Club proudly hosts the Jackson Man of the Year Banquet. This is not a club award but a city-wide honor. The recipient is chosen by a committee representing various civic organizations, while the Exchange Club coordinates and hosts the event.

This team documents club events and meetings through photography and periodic newsletters, keeping members informed and preserving club memories.
