I want to take a moment and thank you for your membership. Remember, this is your club and I’m always open to ideas and input to make it a bigger and stronger club. As you know, we kicked off a new club year in July and I’m excited about what’s already taken place. We’ve hosted the Executive Director of R.I.F.A., the area high school football coaches and heard from the Jackson-Madison County School System about their Vision 20/20 initiative. We have learned about a piece of our city’s history when Steve Bowers visited and told us about the Jackson Boxing Club. We’ve also been educated about West Tennessee weather by WBBJ’s Tom Meiners, been inspired by Union University’s women’s basketball coach Mark Campbell and been entertained by local businesswoman Marilyn Jackson.
Club members planned and held the annual Toast of Jackson and raised over $20,000. They also recently helped with The Exchange Club Carl Perkin’s Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse’s telethon that raised over $1,300,000!!! Our club is currently planning many other upcoming projects that you can get involved in.
Thank you for all you do for the club and the Jackson community. You are making a difference and it’s an honor to serve you. Let’s continue to be “Exchange Strong”!
